When you order a service away from our premises — at your home, by phone or through this website — French consumer law gives you 14 days to change your mind, without giving a reason.
An emergency repair cannot wait 14 days. If you ask us to start within that period, we ask you to say so in writing on the quote. You keep the right to withdraw, but once the work is fully performed at your express request you can no longer cancel it, and if you withdraw part-way you owe the proportion already carried out.
To withdraw, tell us in plain terms — email, letter or on the phone followed by an email — within 14 days of the quote being accepted. We refund any amount paid within 14 days of being informed.
Scope
These terms govern plumbing work carried out for consumers and for professionals. They are handed over with the quote and accepting the quote means accepting them.
Quotes and prices
The phone estimate is free. On site, the call-out and diagnostic cost a flat 35 EUR — the same figure by day, by night, at the weekend and on public holidays — and that amount is deducted from the invoice if you accept the quote. If you decide not to go ahead, the 35 EUR is what you owe.
A written quote is given before any work starts. It states the work, the parts, the labour and any night, weekend or public-holiday surcharge. Nothing begins until you approve it. For work above 150 EUR the written quote is also required by French law.
If the work turns out to need something the quote does not cover, we stop and give you a revised quote. We never continue on the assumption that you would have agreed.
Prices include VAT at the applicable rate. Parts are invoiced as quoted.
Payment
Payment is due on completion, by card, cash or bank transfer. Instalment payment in four is offered through Alma, subject to their acceptance and their own terms.
Late payment by a professional client carries interest at three times the legal rate plus the statutory 40 EUR recovery indemnity.
Who is our customer
The person who asks for the intervention is our customer and is responsible for payment. In a rental, we contact the owner or the property manager and, with their agreement, invoice them directly — in which case you owe us nothing. If they refuse or cannot be reached, we tell you before dispatching, not after the work.
Response times
Arrival times given on the phone are estimates based on where our nearest available plumber is. Traffic, building access and the number of emergencies in progress affect them. We confirm a realistic time on the call and tell you if it changes.
Guarantee
Eligible repairs and the parts we install carry a two-year workmanship guarantee. If the same fault returns within that period we come back at no extra cost.
The ten-year construction insurance (garantie décennale) applies to the work covered by that regime under French law.
The guarantee does not cover damage caused by misuse, by a third party, or by a pre-existing defect we identified in writing and were not asked to repair.
Your statutory rights — the legal guarantee of conformity and the guarantee against hidden defects — apply in addition and are not affected by these terms.
Insurance
We carry professional liability insurance and the ten-year construction insurance required for the work it covers. The insurer, the policy number and the geographic coverage are stated below and a certificate is available on request.
- Professional liability: insurer — to be completed
- Decennale: insurer — to be completed — policy number — to be completed
- Geographic coverage: France
